As part of the tour of the southernmost atolls of the country, President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has arrived in Faresmaathodaa, Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll, where he and his delegation received a warm welcome.
The President is taking a closer look at the situation of the people in the region and is scheduled to visit five islands in Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll, namely Faresmaathoda, Fiyoari, Madaveli, Thinadhoo, and Gahdhoo.
During the visit, the President will engage with councils, women's development committees, and island residents to better understand their needs and concerns.
In total, the President plans to visit 14 islands during his trip to the south and is scheduled to return to Male' on Thursday.
