During a meeting at Thinadhoo School, the President detailed his plans for the city's comprehensive development, aiming to transform it into a fully realized urban center.
Highlighting Thinadhoo as a key urban center in the Administration's regional development agenda, the President discussed the upcoming Thinadhoo International Airport Development Project. He assured that the airport would be constructed to internationally recognised standards, with a focus on environmentally friendly practices. The President also announced the development of a flight training school and twelve resorts as integral components, expecting them to stimulate job creation and economic growth in the region.
During the meeting, the President underscored the importance of dialogue for effective issue resolution and expressed a commitment to treating all citizens equally, irrespective of their beliefs, advocating for harmony and the elimination of political prejudice. He urged the public to unite for the nation's progress, emphasizing the Administration's commitment to political stability.
Addressing the nation's economic situation, the President recalled previous poor financial decisions and detailed the Administration's progressive efforts to alleviate the nation's predicament.
Accompanied by a high-level government delegation, the President is on a tour of several islands in Addu City, Fuvahmulah City, and the North and South Huvadhu Atolls.
