President announces salary increments for police and military personnel starting in March

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has announced salary increments for police and military personnel starting in March during the second session of the 'Ahaa' public forum at Sultan Park. Responding to public queries, the President also revealed upcoming housing projects in Malé City and other parts of the nation.

President Muizzu informed the public that the Administration had successfully achieved 100% of the 150 out of 161 pledges outlined in the "Week14" roadmap. He highlighted that over 80% of the remaining pledges were already complete. The forum covered topics such as the Administration's efforts to revive the economy, provide opportunities for people with disabilities, plans for a village or center for performing artists and professionals, and medium- and long-term initiatives for widespread access to university education.

In addition to these commitments, President Muizzu pledged to establish a world-class surfing stadium within the next year and announced plans to build a drifting stadium in Hulhumalé.

This public forum series marks the first time a Maldivian government has hosted events to promptly address public inquiries. As part of his Presidential pledge, President Muizzu prioritises monitoring public well-being, regularly seeking public opinion, and engaging with the community transparently.

The 'Ahaa' forum and other initiatives aim to strengthen the Administration's connection with the public.
