The President has met with Island Council of Uligamu, Haa Alifu Atoll and the Women's Development Committee (WDC) at Thuraakunu School.
During the meeting, the Council members emphasised the importance of empowering youth, developing tourism, and expediting developmental projects. They expressed the need for a new health center, highlighted space constraints in the harbor, and identified establishing a waste management center as a top priority for community development.
The WDC members also highlighted challenges faced due to space constraints in the office.
President Muizzu assured the Council members that the government would make every effort to address the issues raised by the Council. The Ministers in attendance provided updates on the concerns and projects highlighted by the Council.
