Bank of Maldives (BML) has released its operating schedule for Ramadan this year.
During the initial seven days of Ramadan and Shawwal, BML will be open from 0930hrs to 1200hrs. For the final ten days of Ramadan, the bank's operating hours will be from 1000hrs to 1200hrs.
BML said throughout the month of Ramadan, they will remain open, providing 24-hour self-service banking centers across the country for deposit, withdrawal, and remittance services. Additionally, basic banking services will be accessible through cash agents in residential areas.
Customers can avail themselves of these services through the bank's contact center or by conversing with a live agent on Ayaa and Facebook Messenger. The BML mobile app, WhatsApp, Viber, and the bank's website also offer convenient access to the bank's services.
While the official working hours of the government during Ramadan are yet to be announced by the President's Office, it is confirmed that office hours will persist from 0900hrs to 1300hrs.
As part of a presidential commitment, the last ten days of offices will be closed during Ramadan, as declared by the Cabinet in December 2023. This aligns with the President's promise to observe the closure during this period.
