President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has met with the Island Council of Filladhoo, Haa Alifu Atoll and the Women's Development Committee (WDC) at Vashafaru School.
During the meeting, Council Members communicated that they had already conveyed their needs and concerns to the relevant ministries, emphasising the urgency of resolving these issues. Reflecting the concerns of the island community, the Council underscored the importance of effective waste management on the island and proposed enhancements to the island's harbor.
WDC members highlighted the need to facilitate opportunities for women in different fields, emphasising the importance of gender inclusivity in various aspects.
Addressing the meeting, President Muizzu assured that he would collaborate with the relevant government authorities to determine the way forward in addressing the challenges raised by the Council. Cabinet Ministers also shared updates on the Administration's efforts to tackle the highlighted issues, reflecting a comprehensive and collaborative approach to address the concerns and needs of Filladhoo.
