President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has met with the members of the Island Council of Kelaa, Haa Alifu Atoll and the Women's Development Committee (WDC) at the Sheikh Ibrahim School in Kelaa.
Throughout the meeting, the Council highlighted the major concerns of the community, emphasising the top priorities for the island's development. Key issues discussed included the improvement of the island's harbor and the development of agriculture.
In addition to highlighting concerns, Council Members urged the swift completion of projects initiated by the previous Administration and those planned by the current Administration. They also specifically requested the initiation of housing projects on the island.
During the meeting, members of the WDC raised concerns regarding overtime allowances and budgetary constraints.
President Dr. Muizzu, speaking at the meeting, reiterated his commitment to fulfilling all pledges and addressing the challenges outlined by the Council. The attending Ministers provided updates on the Government's initiatives in response to the Council's concerns, underscoring a collaborative effort to address the development needs and concerns of Kelaa.
