The National Awards Committee has officially opened nominations for the 'National Award for Public Service', and the award criteria have been published in the Government Gazette.
Eligibility for the award is extended to any individual who has dedicated over 35 years of service in a government office, state-owned enterprise, or a company where the majority share is held by the government. Nominations for the award can be submitted by organisations or individual nominees.
The President will confer a shield, a badge of honor, and a certificate as recognition for outstanding service to the Government.
The National Awards Committee will evaluate the quality of the nominees' work and their contributions to the development of their respective fields. The award aims to recognize the nominees' individual achievements as well.
Nominations can be submitted from today until March 28, 2024, via the designated portal for the award: http://apply.presidency.gov.mv.
