President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has held a meeting with the Island Council of Nellaidhoo, Haa Dhaalu Atoll and Women's Development Committee (WDC) at Nellaidhoo School.
During the meeting, the Council highlighted several concerns to the President, including the need for road construction, the implementation of water sanitation and a sewerage system, the construction of a new mosque, and finding solutions to housing and erosion issues. The Council also requested the relocation of all offices to the same area.
Members of the Nellaidhoo WDC emphasised the need for drafting new guidelines for the committee to operate more efficiently.
In response, President Muizzu reiterated his commitment to fulfilling all pledges, assuring them that the Administration would thoroughly examine the issues raised by the Council and explore feasible solutions. The attending Ministers provided updates on the Government's initiatives related to the Council's concerns, reflecting a collaborative effort to address the developmental needs and challenges faced by Nellaidhoo.
