President meets Holhudhoo Island Council and WDC

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has held a meeting with members of the Holhudhoo Island Council and the Women's Development Committee (WDC) at the Secretariat of the Holhudhoo Council.

During the meeting, the Council addressed the island's development needs and challenges faced by residents. They stressed the urgency of completing the water supply development project in Holhudhoo, Noonu Atoll and urged the Government to expedite stalled projects. Additionally, the Council called on the Administration to tackle erosion and swell wave surges.

They also highlighted the necessity of constructing a modern mosque and expressed the desire to establish a campus of Maldives National University (MNU) along with a hostel, given the island's focus on education.

The Council expressed its full support for President Dr. Muizzu’s Administration. The Women's Development Committee of Holhudhoo, speaking at the meeting, emphasized the insufficient office space.

In response, President Dr. Muizzu assured the members that the Administration would thoroughly examine the concerns raised by the Council. Ministers in attendance provided updates on the Government's ongoing initiatives to address the issues highlighted by the Council.
