President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has met with the Lhohi Island Council and Women's Development Committee (WDC) members at the Miladhoo Fenaka Office.
During the meeting, Council members discussed their development needs and highlighted challenges faced by the island's community. Emphasising the island residents' aspirations for the successful completion of the water and sewerage network project, the Council members also reiterated the need for harbour expansion, shore protection, construction of a multipurpose hall, and a resource room at the island school. They further highlighted the need for sports development, improved healthcare services, and the establishment of the Raajje Transport Link (RTL) ferry services in the atoll.
The WDC members also expressed the need for ATM service availability on the island. In response, President Dr. Muizzu stated that the Administration would work towards addressing the points raised by the Council. The Ministers in attendance shared updates on the Government's ongoing efforts to address the highlighted issues.
