President meets Ken'dhikulhudhoo Island Council

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has met with Ken'dhikulhudhoo Council members at the Secretariat of the Ken'dhikulhudhoo Council.

The meeting focused on the most critical developmental initiatives for the island, with particular emphasis on expediting these projects. Council Members stressed the need for shore protection, a housing project, road development, and the continuation of the junior college development project. They also requested the Government's cooperation, particularly in promoting sports tourism and establishing a waste management system on the island. Furthermore, members reiterated the fishing community's concerns over payment delays.

During the meeting, members of the Women's Development Committee underlined budget constraints as one of their key challenges.
