Minister of Health Abdullah Khaleel has announced that sixteen individuals have applied to return to the health service following the release of rules facilitating the reintegration of nurses and health workers who had previously left for various reasons. These rules were announced on January 17.
Speaking at a press conference addressing the Week-14 roadmap for the Minister Khaleel mentioned that since the rules were publicised, one person has been employed and permanently reinstated, with the hope of seeing more individuals returning to health services.
Under the rule, individuals returning to service will have flexibility in their working hours, allowing them to choose a convenient time to provide their services. Minister Khaleel highlighted that this approach aims to seek the assistance of returning health workers in improving service quality and ensuring continuous and accessible healthcare.
The rule not only facilitates the return of health workers who had left the service but also provides an opportunity for individuals not registered in the health workers' register to be recruited into administrative positions if they demonstrate competence in terms of health, education, experience, and skills.
