Alifushi Council emphasises importance of addressing housing challenges for island's development

The Alifushi Island Council has underscored the importance of addressing the housing problem as a crucial element for the island’s development.

During a meeting with President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, Alifushi Island Council raised several issues during the meeting, including finding solutions to the housing crisis, expanding land for industrial purposes, harbour modifications, waste management, and ensuring a reliable electricity supply.

The Island Council and the Women's Development Committee (WDC) delved into the needs of the island's health sector and the requirement for a conducive work environment for the WDC.

In response, President Dr. Muizzu stated at the meeting that the Administration would thoroughly consider the issues raised by the Council.
