President announces plans to establish a Maldives Police Service Post in An'golhitheemu

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu announced plans to finalise the establishment of a Maldives Police Service Post in An'golhitheemu within this year. He made these remarks during his meeting with the An'golhitheemu Council and the Women's Development Committee (WDC). The meeting was held at the Secretariat of Un’goofaaru Council.

During the meeting, the Council emphasized the need to expedite the implementation of the water and sanitation system, establish a T-Jetty and a designated swimming area, and extend health center services to 18 hours. Additionally, the Council highlighted the necessity for ATM services, a handball court, and other social development needs on the island. During the meeting, WDC emphasised budget constraints for WDC.

In response, President stated that the administration will address the concerns brought forth by the lsland Council and WDC.
