President says gov't aims to bolster economy

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu states the Government is working to bolster the economy, attract more investors to the Maldives, and earn their confidence. The President made these remarks while addressing the residents of Kendhoo, Baa Atoll.
Speaking at the meeting, the President underscored that the Maldives' ability to generate revenue hinges on investor confidence.

He elaborated on the Government's initiatives in this regard and expressed confidence that the current administration's efforts would yield positive outcomes. Emphasising the country's economic challenges, the President stated that his administration is dedicated to improving the economy without resorting to printing money or devaluing the local currency.

The president asserted that printing money is not a solution for the country's economic recovery and underscored the Government's focus on strengthening State-owned enterprises and increasing their revenue. Additionally, efforts are being made to enhance sectors that can attract foreign investment into the country.
