Maldives and China have officially signed an agreement on provision of military assistance gratis.
At a ceremony held at Ministry of Defence, Minister of Defence Ghassan Maumoon and Deputy Director of the Office for International Military Cooperation of China Major General Zhang Baoqun signed the agreement.
The defense ministry has affirmed this agreement will help improve the military connection between both the countries.
In addition to signing of the agreement, Major General Zhang Baoqun and Defence Minister Ghassan had discussion to enhance defense cooperation between Maldives and China.
This meeting was participated by senior officers of MNDF and Chinese military and as well as the ambassador of China to the Maldives, Wang Lixin.
