President visits more than 60 islands, meets with 150 councils

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has concluded his trip to Lhaviyani Atoll, visiting three islands during the tour. The President first arrived at Kurendhoo, followed by visits to Hinnavaru and Naifaru.

Throughout the trip, President Dr. Muizzu engaged with members of the Lhaviyani Atoll Council, island councils, and the Women's Development Committee (WDC). He also addressed residents in public gatherings on each island. The purpose of the visit was to closely observe and monitor the situations on the islands, address concerns and problems faced by the communities, and discuss effective solutions and development projects with the councils.

During these interactions, President Dr. Muizzu shared information about planned projects for the islands' development and highlighted the importance of amendments to various policies and laws.

The President has visited over 60 islands from 16 different atolls, holding discussions with 150 councils, including local councils, atoll councils, and city councils. He emphasized the importance of expediting results and moving towards resolving issues for the islands' development.

President Dr. Muizzu pledged to visit all the islands at least twice and affirmed his commitment to visiting all the islands this year.
