Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has announced efforts to expedite the process of handing over land plots and resolve issues with plots allocated to individuals residing in Hulhumale' Phase II under the Binveriyaa scheme. HDC confirmed that despite challenges, the process of handing over land plots to allotted individuals is currently underway.
According to HDC's Public Relations Assistant Manager Mohamed Siraj, the slow pace of handing over land plots is due to some plots being allocated without consideration for public service systems. Some plots were situated across roads or above utility networks, posing challenges for providing essential services like electricity, sewerage, and water in the future. As a result, HDC plans to reallocate plots located in such areas and those allocated in the middle of roads and streets.
Siraj assured that HDC is actively working to resolve these issues and distribute land plots to designated individuals. Additionally, HDC has initiated road cleaning services in Hulhumale Phase II to accommodate ongoing construction and industrial projects.
Under the Binveriyaa scheme, a total of 9,001 land plots are to be distributed, with 1,351 allocated in Hulhumale' Phase II. Individuals who have received their land plots have already begun building the exterior of their properties.
