Vice President underscores need for collaboration in developing artistry

Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef has highlighted the essential role of collective collaboration in advancing Maldivian literature, especially poetry.

In a social media post commemorating World Poetry Day, Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef extended his best wishes to all participants in the arts and stressed the importance of joint efforts in nurturing poetry within Maldivian literary circles.

To further support this initiative, the government has established the Ministry of Dhivehi Language, Culture, and Heritage, dedicated to fostering poetry and Maldivian literature. The ministry plays a crucial role in the national revival project, undertaking various initiatives aimed at promoting the Dhivehi language and culture.

Additionally, it is involved in the establishment of a college dedicated to nationalism and a national center for the study of Dhivehi language. These efforts aim to strengthen and preserve the rich literary heritage of the Maldives.
