President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has departed on an official visit to Laamu Atoll. The president will be accompanied by high-level government delegation during the tour.
During the visit, President Dr. Muizzu will visit six islands of the atoll, while holding discussions with the residents of the islands, council members and Women Development Committees (WDC) to discuss the development needs of the islands and the most urgent needs of the residents.
Prior to the Holy month of Ramadan, President Dr. Muizzu visited several atolls and islands, engaging with more than 140 councils. The trip to Laamu Atoll is the first trip initiated following the month of Ramadan.
Furthermore, President Dr. Muizzu revealed plans to visit Addu City after the visit to Laamu Atoll. Arrangements have been made for the president to visit Hithadhoo from Addu City.
The president will return from the official visits on April 13.
