President unveils healthcare initiatives for Gan

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has announced ambitious plans for Gan, Laamu Atoll during a community meeting with its residents, indicating that it would see the most housing projects compared to other areas across the country.

Addressing the gathering, the President highlighted that the nationwide housing project would prioritize areas with larger land areas, ensuring its significant inclusion. He assured the residents that all proposed development projects for Gan would be executed as planned.

In addition to housing, President Muizzu outlined the government's commitment to elevate Gan Regional Hospital into a tertiary-level facility, fulfilling a promise made to the community. Furthermore, he announced the establishment of an international mental healthcare hospital on Gan, enhancing healthcare services comprehensively.

Gan served as the final stop on the President's official visit to several islands in Laamu Atoll, underscoring the significance of these announcements for the island's future development.
