The parliament has granted approval to all members appointed by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu for the Privatisation and Corporatisation Board (PCB), comprising six members in total, along with its President.
Hamdhy Ageel was designated as the President of PCB, and his nomination was submitted for parliamentary endorsement in November 2023.
The following members received approval:
- Leena Abdul Jaleel (Banking Sector)
- Moosa Fathuhee Adam (Business Administration Field)
- Hassan Zareer (Economics Sector)
- Ahmed Nashath (Legal constituency)
- Mohamed Azad (Finance Sector)
Furthermore, Mohamed Fizar, currently serving as the Vice President of PCB, was also among the appointees.
The unanimous approval of all seven PCB members was achieved during the final session of the current parliament, subsequent to their endorsement by the SOE committee following individual interviews with each member.
