PSM to host telethon for Palestine

Public Service Media (PSM) has announced a special telethon to support the cause of Palestine, following instructions from President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu. The event is set for June 12 and aims to raise funds and awareness for those in need in Palestine.

Managing Director of PSM, Zeena Zahir, emphasised that the telethon will be a community-focused event designed to aid Palestinians during this critical time. She extended an open invitation to individuals and organisations to contribute to the success of the telethon. As such, associations, media outlets, island councils, and companies are all encouraged to participate.

To facilitate donations, telethon fund boxes will be placed at various locations throughout Male', including offices, schools, parks, and other crowded areas. The telethon will run from 0800hrs to midnight on June 12, with live coverage on TVM, PSM News, and Dhivehi Raajjeyge Adu.

The initiative comes in response to ongoing violence affecting Palestinian civilians, resulting in numerous casualties and widespread suffering.
