President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has conveyed felicitations to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and the BJP led National Democratic Alliance (NDA), for their victory in the Indian General Elections of 2024. The President posted the message on the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter.
Highlighting the BJP's win for the third consecutive term, President Dr Muizzu expressed his optimism about working together to enhance the shared objectives of both countries, in the pursuit of development and stability.
Furthermore, Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef also congratulated Prime Minister Modi and his party for the noteworthy achievement. In the post shared on social media, the vice president revealed hopes that bilateral ties would be further strengthened under Modi's leadership.
While the BJP has achieved a significant success in the elections for the third consecutive time, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the first person to serve as the Indian prime minister for three consecutive terms.
