Maldives, Chile discuss enhancing opportunities in education

Ambassador of the Republic of Chile to the Maldives Juan Angulo presented his Letters of Credence to the President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu at a ceremony held at the President's Office. The Ambassador was escorted to the President’s Office from the Republic Square in a cultural procession “Haiykolhu” with MNDF Drum and Trumpet Band.

Following the presentation, the President and the Ambassador discussed enhancing collaborations in areas, such as in economic cooperation, training and education, climate change, tourism for the benefit of both nations.

Diplomatic Relations between the Maldives and Chile were established on 01 March 1987. The ambassador is accredited to the Maldives as non-resident Ambassador and resides in New Delhi, India.
