Air Arabia will commence flights to the Maldives in late October, operating one flight daily.
In a statement, the airline announced that flights will begin on October 27, connecting Sharjah International Airport in Dubai to the Maldives. These flights will be operated using Airbus A-320 aircraft, and bookings are now open.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Air Arabia Group Adel Abdullah Ali, expressed his pleasure in adding the Maldives as a destination. He also highlighted that the new flights will provide customers with more affordable travel options to the Maldives.
The latest data from the Ministry of Tourism show that 41 airlines were flying to the Maldives as of June last year. The number of airlines serving the Maldives continues to grow, with the government aiming to attract two million tourists this year. A total of 1.2 million tourists had also visited the Maldives as of July 21.
Air Arabia is a United Arab Emirates (UAE) budget airline founded over 20 years ago.
