The Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) has postponed their March of Honor to commemorate the Independence Day of Maldives to next Friday. MNDF postponed the parade due to bad weather.
MNDF’s March of Honor is held every year to mark Independence Day. The parade is loved by the whole public with a large number of people gathering to watch the event. The parade showcases the military equipment of the Maldivian Defence Force.
The Independence Day of the Maldives observed annually on July 26. The day marks the Maldives gaining day independence from British colonial rule in. This year marks the 59th anniversary of this significant event. The Independence Day flag hoisting ceremony held annually was also cancelled due to bad weather conditions.
