President sends condolences following death of Hamid Shafeeu

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has expressed his deepest condolences following the demise of the former Chief Technology Officer Hamid Shafeeu. The president also extended his condolences to his family and prayed for their patience.

In a social media post, President Muizzu underscored the dedicated services of Hamid who served at the President's Office. Hamid passed away while receiving treatment in Bangalore, India, after an operation.

Additionally, Former President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has also conveyed sympathy, adding that Hamid was a remarkable figure in the Information Technology sector. He noted that Hamid provided invaluable services to the country within the field.

Hamid notable services to the state came to light during the COVID-19 pandemic. He played a pivotal role in creating the portal, which was utilised by the Health Protection Agency (HPA).
