MCC affirms to resolve housing crisis and cases of drugs

Mayor Adam Azim has affirmed the commitment of Male' City Council to tackling the housing crisis and addressing drug-related cases, in cooperation with the government.

Addressing the residents, Mayor Azim emphasised the fundamental right to housing and acknowledged that many citizens are currently deprived of the right. The mayor pledged to work towards a sustainable resolution of the housing issue with government support. He also highlighted the escalating drug-related problems in the Greater Male' Region, stressing the joint efforts of the government and the council to combat these issues nationwide.

Furthermore, Mayor Azim commended the decentralisation policy of the current government, adding that it assisted voicing out the concerns of the residents. In his address, he shed light on various issues faced in Male', pledging to resolve them sustainably, in collaboration with the government.
