President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu and First Lady Madam Sajidha Mohamed has concluded their unofficial visit to Singapore. Upon concluding their unofficial visit to Singapore, President Dr. Muizzu and First Lady Sajidha returned to Maldives on Wednesday.
President Dr. Muizzu, accompanied by the First Lady, departed to Singapore on Monday evening. This is not the President’s first unofficial visit to Singapore, since taking office. Prior to his visit to Singapore, President Muizzu disclosed that his trip is for a follow up examination due to an injury he sustained while playing football.
During the first four months of his presidency, President Dr. Muizzu made official visits to three countries: Türkiye, the United Arab Emirates and China.
