Rizna resigns from Chief Judicial Administrator position

The Chief Judicial Administrator of the Department of Judicial Administration (DJA) Aishath Rizna has confirmed her resignation. She explained her decision of resigning to PSM News, stating that there was no proper environment to work in collaboration with the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) within the legal framework, policies and procedures of the DJA.

Rizna was appointed as the Chief Judicial Administrator on September 27, 2020. She previously served as the Registrar of the Supreme Court of Maldives, prior to the establishment of the DJA.

The Chief Judicial Administrator is to serve the DJA for a period of five years, with the basic salary of USD 1,977. The total salary including allowances totals to USD 3,080.
