BML opens application for CEO position

Bank of Maldives (BML) has announced that opportunities are open to apply for the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) position, with a deadline for application submission set for October 7.

The CEO position became vacant, following the resignation of the former CEO Karl Stumke. Following his resignation, the management responsibilities of the bank have been undertaken by the Deputy CEO Aishath Noordeen.

BML stated that individuals interested in the position must have 15 years of experience in the banking field and over five years of experience in senior management. Furthermore, individuals applying for the position must have earned their higher education in the fields of banking or finance. The salary for the position depends on the qualifications and experience of the individual selected.

BML will be appointing a CEO for a three-year period. Based on the performance of the individual, the contract period will be extended.
