Japan opens higher studies opportunities in agriculture field for Maldivians

Japan has opened higher studies opportunities in the agricultural field, for Maldivian students.

The Ministry of Higher Education, Labour and Skills Development announced that 40 opportunities have been opened for individuals interested in seeking their Master's Degree and PhD. The scholarship opportunities are provided under the JICA Agriculture Studies Network for Food Security 2025, aiming to increase the number of educated and experienced individuals in the agriculture field.

Individuals interested in seeking a Master's Degree under this opportunity must have completed a Bachelor's Degree in a related field. They must also not be over 35 years of age by April 1, 2025. Meanwhile, individuals interested in seeking a PhD Degree under the scholarship, must have completed a Master's Degree in a related field, and not be over 40 years of age by April 2025.

The higher education ministry stated that the deadline for applications are set for September 26, 1330 hours. Additional information on the opportunities will be available in the Government's Gazette and from the ministry.
