Managing Director of Maldive Gas Private Limited Abdulla Mohamed has said that air conditioner gas will soon be imported in bulk to the Maldives and sold at lower prices. He made the statement during the 25th anniversary celebrations of Maldive Gas.
Speaking at the event, Abdulla highlighted one of the company's main challenges which is the shortage of workspace. To address this, he revealed plans to construct a 10-storey office building within the next two years, with land arrangements for the first phase already underway. He also shared several future plans for the company, including the upcoming opening of a specialised store for gas-related products.
Additionally, Abdulla said that air conditioner gas for repairs is being imported in large quantities and sold at reduced prices. He also noted the expansion of the cooking gas supply and announced that by mid-next year, the company aims to have enough gas stored to meet five months' demand.
The 25th anniversary celebration featured a flag hoisting ceremony and the relaunch of the company's newly redesigned website. Maldive Gas, established on October 3, 1999, originally provided cooking gas services but has significantly expanded its offerings over the past 25 years.
