MBC President announces modern training for broadcasting staff

President of the Maldives Broadcasting Commission (MBC) Mariyam Waheeda has revealed that the commission will offer modern training for individuals working in the broadcasting sector. She made the statement in a special message to mark National Broadcasting Day.

In her message, Mariyam Waheeda emphasised the commission's goal of collaborating with broadcasters across the Maldives to enhance broadcast services through cutting-edge technology. She highlighted the importance of providing updated training to both on-screen journalists and technical staff behind the scenes. She also noted ongoing efforts to deliver this training.

Additionally, Mariyam Waheeda noted the nation's commitment to developing its broadcasting sector, including plans to establish community broadcasting services on the islands. She also revealed that an audience survey is being conducted for the first time in the Maldives.

National Broadcasting Day is celebrated annually on October 4 in the Maldives, commemorating the launch of the country's first broadcasting service in 1962.
