Regional Airports Company Limited (RACL) has announced plans to resume operations of Funadhoo Airport, Shaviyani Atoll, from October 12 onwards, after resolving the technical issue it encountered.
The national airline, Maldivian, revealed that flight operations to Funadhoo Airport were halted today, due to some technical issues. It has requested individuals to contact the airlines for re-booking tickets, following the cancellation of flights.
Providing details on the issue, RACL disclosed that the flight operations to the airport were temporarily halted due to some issues facing the airport's fire truck. It stated that efforts are underway to resolve the problem, with plans to resume the airport operations, from October 12 onwards.
Funadhoo Airport currently welcomes flights from Maldivian only. As such, Maldivian offers three flights to Funadhoo per week.
