Universal Foundations awards three local doctors scholarships for specialisation

Universal Foundations has awarded three local doctors scholarship opportunities for specialization. This initiative aims to enhance human development in the Maldives.

The fully funded scholarships were granted to the following doctors to pursue Master’s degrees:

Dr. Aminath Najudha: Master of Surgery
Dr. Fathimath Mishfa Waseem: Master of Otorhinolaryngology
Dr. Nuha Abdul Rahman: Master of Pediatrics

During the ceremony to present the scholarships, the President of Universal Foundation, Iyaz Waheedh, stated that contributing to human development is a high priority for the foundation. He noted that these scholarship opportunities represent significant advancements under their CSR initiatives, highlighting that several students are currently studying medicine abroad with the foundation's support, which covers all expenses.

In addition to medical scholarships, Universal Foundation is also conducting programs to enhance human development within the tourism industry. A total of 130 individuals have been trained through a program in collaboration with Villaa Group, with 20 more currently undergoing training. Universal Foundation continues to play a vital role in providing opportunities in fields essential for the nation’s development.
