A country can only achieve development and grow if its children receive a quality education, the Vice President’s spouse, Aishath Afreen Mohamed has said. She made the remark while speaking at the graduation ceremony of Excel International School.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Vice President's spouse congratulated the graduates, and expressed hope that she would see the graduates continue to excel in their future educational pursuits. She emphasised the importance of building an educated generation with strong morals, and stressed that a country can only develop if its children are given a high-quality education.
In her speech, she said that students are the basis of building the human resource capacity of the country. The government's vision is to build such a generation, she said.
"A country's students are the basis of building its human resources. Every child should be recognised as an important individual without discrimination. The Maldives government’s vision is to build an educated generation with this approach," she said.
In her speech, the Vice President's spouse thanked the teachers and parents for their efforts to build a good generation.
Following her speech, the Vice President's spouse presented the certificates at the graduation ceremony at Excel School. 154 students received their graduate certificates at the ceremony.
