National carrier, Maldivian, on Wednesday launched luxury seaplane service.
The airline has been working on improving its seaplane service with the acquisition of 2 new seaplanes in the last 2 months.
According to Maldivian, its new 8-seat, air-conditioned luxury seaplane would now operate to resorts and other destinations.

Maldivian’s 8th seaplane - DH-6 Twin Otter aircraft joined its fleet on July 16.
The airline plans to increase its seaplane fleet to 10 by the end of the year with 2 additional planes scheduled to be delivered during November.
Maldivian’s first seaplane - DHC6 Twin Otter was acquired in April 2014.
