President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has expressed condolences to Thailand following devastating floods caused by heavy rainfall that have resulted in deaths, displacement and widespread destruction.
In a message to Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, President Muizzu conveyed his deep sorrow over the loss of life and the impact of the floods.
On behalf of the Maldivian government and people, the President extended condolences to the Thai Prime Minister, government and people, particularly the families of those who died from electrical hazards and drowning.
President Muizzu also wished those injured in the floods a speedy recovery and expressed hope that emergency response operations would continue without disruption and provide prompt assistance to those affected.
