Youth Ministry to Convene 'Zuvaanunge Holhuashi' Forum Addressing Political Participation and Unemployment

The Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Information and Arts has announced that it will convene a public forum under its 'Zuvaanunge Holhuashi' programme on 30 June, aimed at addressing youth political engagement and the challenge of unemployment. The event, part of a broader effort to advance youth participation in national development, will take place at the Maldives Centre for Social Education from 8:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

'Zuvaanunge Holhuashi' serves as a flagship platform for the ministry, an ongoing series of meetings designed for teenagers and young adults. Through these forums, the ministry seeks to expand access to essential services and cultivate greater opportunities for youth across the country.

This upcoming edition will centre on the theme of "Youth Political Participation", the youth ministry said, reinforcing efforts to nurture civic awareness among younger citizens. Alongside the focus on political engagement, participants are expected to explore broader socio-economic challenges, with youth unemployment identified as a key concern, the ministry added.

Registration is available by calling 4000567 or using the designated QR code, according to the youth ministry. The forum, the ministry added, complements a wider portfolio of youth empowerment initiatives, including educational briefings, athletic activities and community-focused events.
