MIRA Honours Top Taxpayers with ‘Ran Fanara’ Awards

The national tax agency, Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA) has honoured the country’s top taxpayers of the past 15 years with the prestigious "Ran Fanara" awards.

The awards were presented at a special ceremony held on the occasion of MIRA's 15th Anniversary, with the Chief Guest of the ceremony, Minister of Finance and Planning, Moosa Zameer presenting the awards to recipients.

‘Run Fifteen’ Award recipients:
- Bank of Maldives (BML)
- Dhiraagu
- I&T management
- Ithaafushi Investment
- Casa Holdings
- Kurehdhoo Holdings
- Maldives Airports Company (MACL)
- Ooredoo Maldives
- Qatar Airways
- Reethi Rah Resort
- State Bank of India
- State Trading Organisation (STO)
- Trans Maldivian Airways (TMA)
- Universal Enterprises
- Villa Shipping and Trading

According to MIRA, these companies recorded the highest tax payments from 1 January 2011 to 30 June 2025.

The criteria and procedures to be followed in the awarding of the Ran Fanara Awards were earlier published by MIRA. The authority did not disclose the specific amount of tax money paid by these companies.

In addition to recognising top taxpayers, special awards were also presented to the employees who have served the agency for 10 years and 15 years. The "Staff of the Year" award was also presented to the most outstanding employee of the past year.
