Public Service Media, (PSM) on Saturday night launched the Maldives Film Awards 2016.
The 4th annual awards ceremony of Maldives Film Association (MFA), organized by PSM, is scheduled to be held in October. The awards was officially launched by Ibrahim Umar Manik, Chairman of PSM.
Umar Manik said PSM’s experts would do their best to make sure that the ceremony is a success. “This year’s edition of the awards would be a high quality event,” he added.
He also revealed plans to provide training to those working in the Maldives film industry through Sony Entertainment.
Mohamed Abdulla, President of MFA said this year’s edition of the awards would be the biggest such ceremony to be held in the Maldives.
PSM and MFA are now pushing ahead with preparations for the awards ceremony.
