VP visits Malaysia to attend Blue Ocean Strategy Conference

Vice President Abdulla Jihad on Monday arrived in Malaysia to attend an International Conference on Blue Ocean Strategy.

On arrival at the Kula Lumpur International Airport, the Vice President was received by Y. B. Dato’ Sri Richard Riot Anak Jaem, and the Maldivian Ambassador designated to Malaysia, Mohamed Fahmy Hassan.

The conference would be held at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre, from August 16 to 18 with the theme, Transforming Nations through Creativity and Innovation.

The Vice President would be addressing the Leaders’ Summit of the Conference. The theme chosen for this Summit is “Future Government: Meeting Tomorrow’s Needs and Expectations”.

This 3-day conference would be an opportunity for participants to share knowledge and ideas of how to inject creativity and innovation in the formulation and implementation of national policies and initiatives, the President’s Office said.

The conference would consist of keynote speeches and panel discussions by national leaders, eminent speakers, and global experts from all around the world, it said.

Approximately, 3,000 participants from around the world are expected to attend the conference, including national leaders from Commonwealth member countries, ASEAN nations, and members of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
