Visit Maldives Corporation (VMC), in collaboration with the High Commission of Maldives in Bangladesh, participated in the Asian Tourism Fair 2025 (ATF 2025), which took place from 18 to 20 September in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
ATF-Dhaka stood as one of Asia’s premier tourism showcases, bringing together government organisations, private sector stakeholders, and development agencies across the region.
According to VMC, the fair provided a vibrant platform for business networking, partnership building, and cultural exchange.
In addition to the main exhibition, ATF 2025 featured side events including green initiative showcases, community-based tourism marts, tourism skills conventions, seminars, workshops, and cultural performances.
Under the official Visit Maldives banner, Maldivian co-exhibitors displayed digital brochures, videos, and promotional materials, gaining visibility and direct engagement opportunities with international travel trade professionals.
This collective presence ensured that resorts, hotels, and other tourism-related businesses gained exposure to one of Bangladesh’s most important travel fairs.
“Our presence at ATF 2025 highlighted the Maldives’ unique offerings and provided a valuable platform for our industry partners to showcase their products, strengthen networks, and engage with a wide audience,” Ibrahim Shiuree, CEO and Managing Director of VMC said.
Participation at ATF 2025 promoted the Maldives as a premier tourism destination, while strengthening linkages with key government bodies, private stakeholders, and regional partners.
The event also offered an opportunity to generate leads and forge meaningful business partnerships, enhancing the Maldives’ visibility in the Bangladeshi market and beyond.
