ACC Pursues 161 Corruption Cases Linked to Fenaka Corporation

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has confirmed that it is pursuing action on multiple corruption cases involving Fenaka Corporation Limited.

In a press statement regarding the special audit report issued by the Auditor General’s Office on Fenaka Corporation Limited, the ACC said most of the issues highlighted in the report are already being investigated by the commission. ACC said 161 cases linked to Fenaka Corporation are being probed.

Of these, 13 cases have reached the duty prosecution stage with the Prosecutor General’s Office. Since 2022, nine cases involving Fenaka Corporation have been forwarded for prosecution, with some already prosecuted and sentenced.

The ACC has ordered the Fenaka Corporation to recover USD 1.39 million lost due to corruption. Additionally, the company has been instructed to rectify 96 issues, including 49 concerning company conduct, 26 relating to the company's policies, 10 on recovering funds lost due to corrupt practices, and eight regarding internal investigations.
