Former Minister Mahloof, MDP Activists Among Wave of New Joiners to Ruling PNC

Ahmed Mahloof, who served as the Minister of Youth and Sports in the former Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) government, has joined the ruling People’s National Congress (PNC), along with a wave of senior MDP activists and others.

The new members joined the party at a special PNC rally “Dhivehinge Raajje” held Friday evening, with President Dr Mohamed Muizzu personally receiving their membership forms.

Mahloof, a former Youth Minister and member of the MDP National Assembly, had left the party some time ago.

The PNC is the largest registered political party in the Maldives.
