Aal Ayan, a 7-year-old from the Maldives, won 1st place in the Music Category of the Autistic Talent Gala 2016 held on September 10 in Hong Kong.
Another Maldivian Nahyan Faisal narrowly lost the award for the “Most Popular on Internet – YouTube”.
Maldives Autism Association said 7 children from the Maldives participated in this year’s Autistic Talent Gala.
Ayan, who received 1614 votes for his performance, was selected as a finalist to join the “Autistic Talent Gala 2016” finale to be held on November 26 in Hong Kong.
Autistic Talent Gala is organised by AnAn International Education Foundation of Hong Kong, founded in 2006 by You Zhong and Kenneth Yu.
105 participants from 22 countries participated in this year’s Autistic Talent Gala.
“Autistic Talent Gala 2016” aims to promote social equality, integration, public understanding, and respect.
