President appoints Hassan Rasheed as Minister of Defence and National Service

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has appointed Hassan Rasheed as Minister of Defence and National Service.

The letter of appointment was presented to the Minister at an official ceremony held at the President’s Office. The oath of office was administered by Supreme Court Justice, Dr Mohamed Ibrahim, after which the Minister signed the declaration of oath.

Minister Hassan Rasheed has previously served as a State Minister at the Housing Ministry.
